The new Palazzetto, designed as a multipurpose center aims to attract visitors fromall of Calabria and southern Italy.
Within a total area of 5 hectares, the arena covers an area of about 8,000 sqm and can accommodate up to or 3,500 spectators, with the possibility of expanding this capacity to 4,300 in occasion of congresses and concerts, thanks to the use of the parterre.
The project was designed respecting fundamental criteria regarding functionality, such as optimizing visibility from the public toward the playing field and the separation of access for athletes and spectators.
Particular attention was also paid to the usability of the spaces, putting in first place accessibility, thus giving prominence or a topic of grim topicality and social importance: inclusion.

The roof with a lattice structure was made with thin steel elements and a triple translucent outer membrane composed of 900 Teflon ETFE (Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene), an aspect that gives olla structure an avant-garde feel.
Natural ventilation is aided by the formo of the roof, which is capable of capturing winds
dominant and ensure dynamic lighting both day and night.
The large transparent windows in the upper ring of the arena engage the audience, allowing them to observe the activities while enjoying the surrounding panoramic views.
The dynamism of the facility is accentuated by stairways and a continuous loop path, which promote the rapid outflow of spectators and optimize safety exits.
The construction of the Sports Hall combines innovation and dynamism in a hub of aggregation and sociality, an inclusive agora accessible to all.
